Generally speaking we recommend filling the plant around ⅔ full, and to place some mulch or pebbles across the top for decoration but also to reduce drying out.
Every plant has different watering requirements, and would always recommend checking the exact needs of your plants. However, it is advisable to increase the watering frequency if the pot is in direct sun. The sun will cause the pot to dry up quicker so it is advisable to water more often.
Yes, most certainly. Our decorative pots are designed for outdoor and indoor usage. Our range of pots are perfect for indoors and outdoors.
Yes you most certainly can. We recommend a liquid fertilizer as it is easier to apply and will provide a most consistent coverage throughout the pot. Alternatively, you can place pellet fertilizer across the top of the pot.
Congratulations – your plant has now grown as a result of your loving care! We recommend when your plant has outgrown its pot to choose a pot that is at least 50% larger which will allow for enough room moving forward. To get your plant our we suggest using a knife and running it around the edge of the pot making sure that the plant root cluster is loosened from the pot. Once you have done this you can place the pot upside down and with a little shaking the plant and root cluster should easily come out.
Absolutely! Using a range of different sized pots outdoors within your garden not only increases the range of plants that will grow well, but it reduces the conflict between multiple plant’s root systems.
This is a great question and depends on the plant. We would recommend researching the plant you intend on growing. If the plant requires damp soil then keeping the plug in is a great idea. There are some plants such as cactus though that don’t like having the roots waterlogged so would suggest removing the plug.
